What is DAU/MAU (app stickiness)?

DAU/MAU is daily active users divided by monthly active users — the share of a month's users who use the app on a typical day.

A ratio of 50% means the average monthly user opens the app about every other day. Messaging and social apps run high; tools used once a week run low, which is fine if the job itself is weekly.
