• What app users complain about: 247,000 one- and two-star reviewsWe sorted 247,263 one- and two-star App Store and Google Play reviews by what they complain about. Subscriptions and price lead in almost every genre; complaints about AI went from almost none to one in twenty.
• Which app categories have the most neglected leaders?Across 819 App Store niches, we measured how many of the top ten apps have gone nine months or more without an update. Neglect is rarer than founders hope, and concentrated in a few genres.
• The same app idea in 60 countries: how much harder is it outside the US?667 app ideas measured in the US and again in 60 other countries against each country's own rivals. Outside the US the same idea scores lower, mostly because of weaker trend and money, not harder ranking.
